This wooden counting peg board turns early number work into a concrete, hands-on activity. Children match quantities of pegs to the numerals on ten separate boards, strengthening one-to-one correspondence, number recognition, counting accuracy, and fine motor control. The hardwood boards use sustainably harvested rubberwood with a smooth child-safe finish.

A storage box holds the boards, and a drawstring bag keeps the small pegs together for shelf presentation or travel. Montessori homeschool families can introduce one board at a time, then extend the work with ordering, quantity comparisons, simple addition, and independent repetition. The small pieces require age-appropriate supervision.

A well-loved Montessori math shelf work for preschool and kindergarten counting.
